Not many people have bared witness to this blistering speed as they have failed to keep up with ‘The Galloping Naarjie’ but I can attest to this, as just this one time I caught a glimpse of her, skipping along the mighty Zambezi as if she were Michael Flately in River Dance. I only heard the sonic boom of the Mercury 250HP Pro XS when the boat had passed me; it nearly knocked me unconscious...

 

But speed isn’t everything you say?? Well let me tell you...

 

Fishing is the game ‘The Galloping Naarjie’ loves best, she has only been driven for 80 hours and in this time her 80LB thrust Minn Kota bass motor, two Humminbird 898c side view depthfinders, dual live well with timing unit, bilge pumps, marine radio with USB ports and removeable rod holders have helped her secure 1st position in many fishing competitions on the Zambezi.

 

First to the spot and last to leave... That’s the Naarjie’s motto...Price you say?? This boat must cost trillions you say?? Well let me tell you...

 

If you were to saunter into the shop and ask the person behind the counter ‘please can I buy a Galloping Naarjie mark II’ said person would smile at you, pull out a calculator and work out a figure of over $56’000.00 for this superb vessel. ‘The hydraulic steering system and 27 inch stainless steel propeller are worth $4200.00 alone’ they’d say...
